In 2014 my life changed. My husband and I decided to become parents and we found our daughter Kali Joy. Kali was nine when she came home and we started the journey of becoming a family. Building a family is awesome. And hard. So hard that I quit my job and decided to devote all my time to becoming a better mom. That’s when I started to lose my mind.
I realized I needed a creative outlet to channel all these mom feelings. That’s when UpcycleByNancy was born. I use a variety of unwanted & discarded items as the base for my paintings. I frequently paint on glass, mirror, metal and wood. My pieces are bright and fun; I want you to feel happy when you look at my work.
I am a hobbyist artist and I’ve been on an incredible path forward with my love of painting. I started with a single opportunity to help a friend’s business whose budget ran dry before decorating their space. Since then I keep finding new friendships and new opportunities.
